Resumen: trabalho tutorial que é o resultado de uma revisão bibliográfica desses três assuntos – Dissuasão de Entrada, Teoria dos Jogos e Michael Poter, e investiga seus pontos de convergência, suas diferenças e a real utilidade da Teoria dos Jogos e da obra de Porter para tratar a questão da Dissuasão de Entrada.
Abstract: work tutorial that is the result of a bibliographical revision of those three subjects–Dissuasion of Entrance, Theory of the Games and Michael Poter, and it investigates their convergence points, their differences and to real usefulness of the Theory of the Games and of the work of Porter to treat the subject of the Dissuasion of Entrance.

Resumen: O objetivo deste trabalho é identificar as conseqüencias do processo de modernizaçao do varejo, que vem ocorrendo no Brasil, mais intensamente desde o início da década de 1990, sobre a qualificaçao da mao-de-obra demandada por este setor. Baseia-se em pesquisa de opiniao realizada com 18 executivos, responsáveis pelas atividades de recursos humanos em redes varejistas sediadas no Estado de Sao Paulo.
Abstract: The objective of this work is to identify the consequences of the process of modernization of the retail, that it is happening in Brazil, more intensely since the beginning of the decade of 1990, about the qualification of the labor disputed by this section.
